We cordially invite you to join Sandy Becker for a curator’s tour of the exhibition Utopia. Right to Hope on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 4 p.m.

The exhibition Utopia. Right to Hope brings together artistic positions that, in the face of global crises, develop concrete visions for a more just and sustainable coexistence. In addition to critically examining utopia itself and its promising but also totalitarian implications, Utopia focuses on projects that aim to bring about change on a small scale. The works and objects make suggestions for a more just and sustainable coexistence. In this context, art in particular can make groundbreaking contributions to utopian models of the future, as it has been critically accompanying social processes since modernism with its range of aesthetic and content-related means. This critical stance has always made art a place of utopian thinking.

Utopia. Right to Hope, a production of the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, in cooperation with the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz.
