Gemeinsam erkunden wir auf spielerische Art die Ausstellung Edvard Munch. Angst. In dieser Ausstellung geht es um die ganz großen Gefühle, die im Alltag aber oft nicht zur Sprache kommen bzw. unsichtbar bleiben: Angst, Einsamkeit und das Sich-Verloren-Fühlen. Im Anschluss gestalten wir eigene kleine Kunstwerke zum Mitnehmen.

Die Familienführung findet am Sonntag, den 10. August 2025 von 13:00 bis 14:30 Uhr in den Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz statt. Weitere Termine finden Sie in unserem Veranstaltungskalender.

ACHTUNG: Aufgrund des zu erwartenden Besucher:innenaufkommens sind Anmeldungen zur öffentlichen Führung in der Ausstellung Edvard Munch. Angst ausschließlich über den Ticket-Shop möglich. Anmeldungen für die öffentlichen Führungen an der Kasse, über Telefon oder Email sind nicht möglich. Mit dem Ticket erhalten Sie Zugang zur öffentlichen Führung, sowie zur Ausstellung.

Die Ausstellung kann zudem auch ohne Führung besucht werden, falls entsprechend Kartenkontingente im Online-Shop oder vor Ort bei der Kasse vorhanden sind.

Treffpunkt: Auditorium (Säulensaal) im Erdgeschoss in den Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz

Accessibility

For barrier-free access, a visitor guidance system with an inclusive floor guidance system, orientation boards with Braille and pyramid writing and an elevator at ground level to all exhibition floors are available at Theaterplatz. Further information can be found at inclusion and accessibility.

Museum Gunzenhauser

The Museum Gunzenhauser houses the collection of the Munich gallery owner Dr. Alfred Gunzenhauser and holds more than 3,000 works by 270 artists, including works of classic modern art and from the second half of the 20th century. The owner is the Gunzenhauser Foundation.

Schloßbergmuseum

The Museum of History of the City of Chemnitz is housed in one of the most beautiful and best-preserved monastery sites in Saxony. Around 1135, Emperor Lothar ordered to build a Benedictine monastery on a ridge above the Chemnitz River, which would exist until the age of Reformation.

Rabenstein Castle

Rabenstein Castle is located in the Rabenstein district of Chemnitz and forms part of the Schloßbergmuseum. It was built in the second half of the 12th century during the settlement of the foothills of the Erzgebirge mountains. The frequently used nickname »Saxony’s smallest castle« is somewhat misleading in that the buildings still standing today make up only the heart of a formerly much larger complex.

Henry van de Velde Museum

Villa Esche was planned by the Belgian architect and designer Henry van de Velde in 1902 as a family home for the Chemnitz-based textile manufacturer Herbert Esche. Henry van de Velde (1863–1957) was one of the most highly-regarded figures in European art in the early 20th century.
