Vielen Dank!

Weitere Termine finden Sie in unserem Veranstaltungskalender.

Wir freuen uns auf Sie!

ENG

We cordially invite you to a public guided tour in English through the Feinkunsthalle of the Museum Gunzenhauser on Saturday, 14 March at 1 p.m. Food is essential to life. We all eat, drink and digest. But food is also much more than just nourishment. Food is linked to culture, religion and identity. Food is also a recurring theme in art – from still lifes to convivial table scenes, but artists also focus on hunger and poverty as well as social aspects. Join us on a guided tour of the exhibition to learn about the most important works and gain a deeper understanding of the content.

Feinkunsthalle (Fine Arts Hall)
7 March – 14 June 2026
Based on the spatial structures of a shop, you can discover the most delicious food and luxury items from the Chemnitz Kunstsammlungen in the exhibition rooms of the Feinkunsthalle. The Feinkunsthalle is the first exhibition in the Mahlzeit! exhibition series, which will take place throughout 2026.

Public tours are limited to a maximum of 24 people. We kindly ask you to book tickets via our online ticket shop, which you will find on the right-hand side of our website. Due to the limited group size, we ask groups of 10 or more to book tours in advance (0371 488 4501 or info.kunstsammlungen@stadt-chemnitz.de). Thank you very much!

Further dates can be found in our calendar of events.

We look forward to seeing you!
