The Chemnitz Hospice and Palliative Care Service was founded in 1999 and has approximately 200 members. The foundation of outpatient hospice work is a large group of well-trained volunteer hospice workers who bring human warmth to our society through their commitment and accompany people in difficult life situations. The Chemnitz inpatient hospice was inaugurated in 2005 and, with its 16 beds, offers full inpatient care and support from a professional team.
Kristin Weinhold, an employee of the Chemnitz Hospice and Palliative Care Service, will provide insight into the work.
