The exhibition Beyond Geometry. Frei Otto x Kengu Kuma explores the links between resource-conserving architecture and innovative design. The aim of this workshop is for teams to build the most impressive bridge out of wooden chopsticks. Will a particularly lightweight construction be the winner or will stability be the deciding factor? And which bridge will impress with its elegant design? Everyone is cordially invited to join in building and cheering!
Participants will learn the basic principles of bridge building and statics with creativity and fun while constructing functional bridge models from chopsticks. The aim is for them to understand how the planning process for bridges works, what needs to be taken into account and to familiarise themselves with Kengu Kuma’s resource-conscious and creative approach.
