Marion Messina blickt auf das Leben und Scheitern einer jungen Frau in Paris – ihr furioses Debüt ist ein Stich ins Herz unserer krisengeschüttelten Gegenwart. Als ihre erste Liebe scheitert, zieht die neunzehnjährige Aurélie von Grenoble nach Paris. Dort will sie endlich in vollen Zügen leben und mit ihrem Jurastudium die provinziellen Arbeiterbiographien ihrer Eltern hinter sich lassen. Aber in Paris reicht es gerade mal für einen Job als Empfangsdame, der Wohnungsmarkt entpuppt sich als anarchische Zone und die Liebe ist eine Farce zwischen freundlichen Arrangements und Pornographie. Doch dann setzt Aurélie alles auf Anfang. Voll Zorn, Klarsicht und gnadenloser Ironie blickt Marion Messina auf das Leben einer jungen Frau und ins Innerste einer neuen verlorenen Generation.

Die Veranstaltung findet in Kooperation mit dem Institut français Leipzig, der Stadtbibliothek Chemnitz und den Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz statt.

Museum Gunzenhauser

The Museum Gunzenhauser houses the collection of the Munich gallery owner Dr. Alfred Gunzenhauser and holds more than 3,000 works by 270 artists, including works of classic modern art and from the second half of the 20th century. The owner is the Gunzenhauser Foundation.

Schloßbergmuseum

The Museum of History of the City of Chemnitz is housed in one of the most beautiful and best-preserved monastery sites in Saxony. Around 1135, Emperor Lothar ordered to build a Benedictine monastery on a ridge above the Chemnitz River, which would exist until the age of Reformation.

Rabenstein Castle

Rabenstein Castle is located in the Rabenstein district of Chemnitz and forms part of the Schloßbergmuseum. It was built in the second half of the 12th century during the settlement of the foothills of the Erzgebirge mountains. The frequently used nickname »Saxony’s smallest castle« is somewhat misleading in that the buildings still standing today make up only the heart of a formerly much larger complex.

Henry van de Velde Museum

Villa Esche was planned by the Belgian architect and designer Henry van de Velde in 1902 as a family home for the Chemnitz-based textile manufacturer Herbert Esche. Henry van de Velde (1863–1957) was one of the most highly-regarded figures in European art in the early 20th century.
