Dear visitors of the Art Collections Chemnitz, please be aware that on Sunday, May 18, 2025, the European Capital of Culture Marathon will take place in Chemnitz. The marathon route mainly runs on public streets in the city center, the Schloßbgerg, as well as the Kaßberg and Bernsdorf. The entire route will be closed to vehicle traffic from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The closure mainly affects the Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz, the Museum Gunzenhauser, the Schloßberg Museum, and the Henry van de Velde Museum.
