From summer 2025, a new and exciting exhibition format will be created at the Gunzenhauser Museum. And we are looking for you!
As part of the “Spaces of Change”, the second floor of the museum can be redesigned according to your own ideas and concepts. We are looking for groups or individuals from Chemnitz who would like to develop their own vision of a space together with artists from the FAIL collective (Leipzig) and a mediation curator. Whether young or old, with or without previous artistic experience – personal perspectives, ideas and stories are required.
Participants will work on their own space: developing content, choosing themes, designing objects or creating something new. You can build, write, record or experiment – anything is possible. The results are created through exchange, without hierarchy, and can continue to change during the exhibition.
The following questions take center stage:
What should a museum be?
Which objects and themes should be exhibited?
What could a museum of the future look like?
A joint kick-off is planned for early summer. Individual workshops are planned for weekends in July, August and September.
