The Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz has a vacancy for a Curator of the Textile and Decorative Arts Collection and the Henry van de Velde Museum. You will be responsible for the curating of exhibitions and the scientific supervision of the Textile and Decorative Arts Collection of the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz with the Henry van de Velde Museum, for the preservation, administration, documentation and scientific processing of all holdings of the Textile and Decorative Arts Collection in the Kunstsammlungen (European and non-European textiles; collection of 19th and 20th century artists’ posters; collection of European tapestries; and for the collection of European art and design. Collection of European wallpapers; Collection of Japanese dyeing stencils) and supervision of the Henry van de Velde Museum in the Villa Esche (branch of the Chemnitz Art Collections) with the collection of exhibits by Henry van de Velde (furniture, textiles, ceramics, porcelain, silver).
