Schools and the Museum

School classes have the opportunity to get to know the collections and the current exhibitions in our museums through special programmes adapted to the respective age groups. The visits to the exhibitions are targeted at all age groups and all types of schools. As a rule, each programme consists of a theoretical and a practical section; for the practical section, 0.50 Euro are charged to cover material costs.

Konrad der Kunstbus

Our »Kunstbus« is available for all school classes within a radius of 30 kilometres, so that they can take part in the educational programmes of the Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz, the Museum Gunzenhauser, and the Schloßbergmuseum. The bus collects the pupils and teachers directly at the respective school and takes them to the museum

Kindly send the completed bookingform to kunstbus@stadt-chemnitz.de or to Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz, Abteilung Bildung und Vermittlung, Theaterplatz 1, 09111 Chemnitz.
