The artistic beginnings of Jürgen Höritzsch, from what was then called Karl Marx Stadt, were in the field of photography. In the historical vaulted rooms of the Schloßbergmuseum he is now presenting proof of the breadth of his creativity with a selection of works in other media, such as graphic art, painting, book art and ceramics.
In a fireworks of colours, forms and visions, the borders between Realism and Surrealism are blurred – art techniques and exquisite materials blend. The expressive colours and suggestive motifs in his images and his ceramic works form a charming contrast to the art books – which are fine, filigree bibliophile jewels.
