Shards. David Schnell

David Schnell (born 1971) belongs to the generation of painters living in Leipzig whose works can be found in private and public collections of renown all over the world. The Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz present an exhibition of Schnell’s paintings, graphic works, and stained-glass painting in collaboration with the artist. Many paintings were made especially for this exhibition and are being shown to the public for the first time. Furthermore, David Schnell has designed a stained-glass window exclusively for the Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz that will stay in the museum after the show. Thematically, the emphasis of the exhibition is on the artist’s depictions of architecture and interiors.
