Based on the history of the city of Chemnitz as an important textile industry location, young international artists from the Master’s programme Public Art and New Artistic Strategies at the Bauhaus University Weimar have been invited to the Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz for a performance and exhibition project. Over the next few days, the students will develop contributions to current conflicts, paradoxes and contradictions of a complex society.
As part of the project Du kannst das tragen, a discussion with Danica Dakic and the participating artists will take place on 28 January 2022 at 5 pm in the museum’s Säulensaal. It will be moderated by Dr. Sabine Maria Schmidt, curator at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz.
